Life in The Center - How Right is The Tea Party

Watching the news and there are many things I don't know but there is one thing I do know, I will not now nor ever vote for any republican that I believe is moving right to make the Tea Party happy. Now do not get me wrong, I have no problem with the Tea Party nor any Republican nor any Democrat that stands up and speaks their mind and let the chips fall where they may. If you believe Social Security needs to be cut than say Social Security needs to be cut,if you believe Medicaid needs to be cut then say Medicaid needs to be cut,and if you believe Defense needs to be cut then say so for crying out loud. I have much more respect for someone I disagree with that says what they truly believe than someone that tells me what they think I want to hear.Whenever a politician gets to the point when everything they do and say is for the purpose of getting reelected it is time for them to go.
Watching the news and apparently reporters are starting to fight with each other. Seems Rep. Issa's press Secretary leaking e-mails sent to one reporter to another reporter. Personally I believe they should put on some boxing gloves and go at it. Most of these reporters are wussies. Maybe if we made it a rule that whenever any reporter had a problem with another reporter they have to duke it out. Am I the only one that notices the primetime talking heads on MSNBC act like their ready to fight anyway. Well maybe all except that Lawrence fella, he seems a little soft to me. Wouldn't what to tangle with that Maddow Chick though.
Watching the news and learned a new term Tiger Moms, This term describes a mom that is hard on her kids. She makes them do things like homework and learn things that are important.  I thought that was what most moms were doing in the first place. Are you telling me that we have a special name for a parent that is doing what a parent is suppose to do in the first place. What do we call dads that are hard on their kids and apparently we have a new definition for hard, Lion Dads. Got to go, later

Life in The Center - Slow Day?

Watching the news and must be a slow news day. First thing I see is Charlie Sheen's press agent resigns. Guess all the alcohol, drugs, and prostitutes was to much for him. Wonder what Charlie was doing during the Oscar's last night. Don't normally watch award shows but nothing else on last night so kelp flicking the remote back and forth. Still don't see what all the hoopla is about, just a bunch of left-wing liberals getting together to pat each other on the back for being in the latest save the world from the right-wing nuts movie.
On to something that actually matters. Here is a good one, government is out of money, about to shut down because these idiots can't pass a budget resolution and where are these guys, on vacation. Can you believe it. They take more vacations than any group of people I have ever seen. shouldn't it be a law that as long as they have not finished the peoples business nobody goes home. Oop's sorry looks like they made it back to work. Sitting here listening to some republican tell us why we sent him there. Looks like he got it wrong, we did not send him there because we like his ideas, we sent him there because we did not like the people that was there. Looks like MSNBC has new loon at its news desk. Different, most of the networks don't usually put their partisan goons on until primetime. Guess they are trying to get the jump on the other news networks. I'm telling you guys, it will not be to long before actual news will be a thing of the past. Our choices will be either Loons or Nuts. gotta go see ya'll tomorrow

Life in The Center - Names Change Song Remains the Same

Watching the news and can't help but notice that the Democrats who cried and screamed when Bush said or did something seem to have no problem when Obama does the same thing and Republicans, whom seemed tp have no problem with whatever Bush said or did cry and scream whenever Obama does the same thing. How much longer are we going to let these Hypocritical Morons run our country. When are we going to wise up and say enough is enough. how wonderful would it be to be able to vote for men and women with common sense who have no problem sitting down and working out a plan that benefits America more than it benefits their re-election campaign. Listening to two guys arguing about the second ammendment last night. Of course one wanted to outlaw all guns. No one according to him should be allowed to own a gun of any kind. The other guy believed we should all not only own guns but we shoul all carry them around with them. This idiot said that 30 round clips should be kelt legal so little old ladies could protect themselve's. Are you telling me there are little old ladies carring aroung Glock 9's with 30 round clips. When is the last time antone heard af a littlt old lady as attacked by 30 hodlums. What I didn't see was any common sense. Where was the guy who believed in the 2nd Ammendment but was ok with background checks, outlawing 30 round clips and armour piercing bullets. Next thing I expect to hear is little old ladies need armour piercing bullets to protect themselve's for all the robbers out there wearing body armour. just another case of turning on the TV and seeing the extreme left vriw and the extreme right view and the rest of us lead to believe that these two opinions repesented the majority of America.
Take a look at what the two parties feed us when any disscusion about Imigration Reform is brought up. The Republicans want to build a 199 ft. tall fence on the border and somehow round up 12 million people and ship them back to Mexico. The Democrats, well they don't want to do anything. They seem to like things just the way it is. Of course the fact that the mojority of Hispanics voying for them has nothing to do with it. First there's no way anyone is going to round up 12 million people and send them bsck to Mexico. That idea is just nit fesible. We don't have a bus that big. So Republicans, grab a piece of reality, set down with the Democrats and work something out. No one in this country should have to hide in the dark. Democrats if we don't do something to secure the border we will be having this same discussion 10 years from now. Sit down with the republicans and work something out. I know the idea of these people setting down and working something out is wishful thinking but I can dream can't I. Time for lunch guys and gals see ya Monday.

Life in The Center - No Government Good Government?

Watching the news and listening to discussion about shutting down the government. Seems republicans, who campaigned on lowering the national debt, want to cut 60 billion in government spending. I feel obligated to point out this is no where near what they promised to cut and none of the proposed cut are in programs the republicans promised to tackle. To say this is a start is to say that planting a acorn is the start to building a tree house. The democrats are hold ing out because they are calling these cuts excessive. These guys, who also promised to cut the budget during the last election, don't seem to want to cut anything. They apparently are sticking to their favorite policy, there's no program that printing more money won't fix. I'm thinking that shutting down the government is not such a bad idea. As long as social security goes out, grandma needs her rent money, if these guys can't vote on ant thing they can't mess anything up.                                                             Watching the news and see the democrats in Wisconsin are still missing. If any of us failed to show up to work for a week we would have to look for a new job. Never realized politicans had the option of showing up to work or taking a road trip whenever they felt like it. I always thought they were elected to handle the peoples business. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but did we not have a election this past November. If this is the voice of the people in Wisconsin who are these 15 state senators to thumb their noises. Does this mean that any time the party in power tries to pass a bill the other party does not like they can just take a hike. just thinking but maybe our government doing nothing is not such a bad thing. The less they do the less they can screw up.
Watching the news and wondering is it me or is Kadafi a few ounces short of a full can. I was listen to his speech last night and was reminded of the movie One Flew Over The Cuckoo's nest. I have to ask the question though if this nut was in charge for 40 years what does that say about the people of Libya. I mean this guy is as far off his rocker someone can get. Here's hoping we get all our people out of their safely.Well folks cooking spaghetti tonight so have to go get some Italian bread. Have a great day and remember we are the majority not the nuts and loons!!!

Life in The Center-Looking Ahead

Watching the news and see that in Providence, Rhode Island the mayor has sent out pink slips to every public school teacher in the city. Statistics say 7% of students in Providence can pass national math exam. City is also 70 million in debt. Seems to me the adults are having a hard time with math also. They must have went to the same schools. The question I have is where are all the protesters? Where are all the left-wingers marching in the streets hollering and screaming? Where are the teacher unions carrying their signs. Oh yeah, the man who's firing the teachers in Providence is a democrat. The man attacking the teachers union in Wisconsin is a republican, and since the unions give millions of dollars in campaign contributions to the DNC every year, well we know what that means. Another example of, it doesn't matter what you do, it doesn't matter what you say, it only matters which party you belong to.
Watching the news and hear about a man in New York who's not allowed to smoke in his apartment any more. Seems he likes to fire up a cigar every now and then. His neighbors seem to have a problem with the aroma that comes with smoking a cigar. They sued, he lost. He now has to go outside to enjoy his evening smoke. New York has already outlawed smoking in restaurants and nightclubs and now even the privacy of your own home is not safe. I wonder what's next. I wonder what his neighbors would have done if he had a bad case of gas. I would love to see that on Law and Order.
On a different not, I understand how someone can get discouraged when they start something like this. I surfed the web yesterday looking for independent and moderate web sites. Didn't find many and the ones I did were right-wing or left-wing sites disguised as a moderate web site. Found one that was called the independent moderate. The first story was about how republicans are ruining the economy, the next story was about how the republicans are ruining this country, the next story was about how the republicans are ruining, well you can see where I'm going and also found a web site called middle of the road politics. this one spent the whole web site telling me how screwed up the democrats are. Hard to find a web site that is actually in the middle. Folks we need to hold both parties accountable. We need to let the democrats know when they are messing up and we need to let the republicans know when they are messing up. Still working on the web site maybe we can create a web site that truly is independent and about to start a new blog. I hope many of you will read the new one. It's called HOW FAR IS TOMMORROW and will be a day by day account aboout living with clinical depression. Time for lunch see ya'll later.

Life in The Certer- Those Sneaky Bloggers

I guess it's not a good idea to keep a baseball bat in your office. I think that if I were the Governor of Wisconsin I would be a little more careful about what i said on the telephone. Now we all know eh was just joking around I mean who hasn't at one time or another made a comment like that. If some of the things I said about my ex ever got out i would probably have to leave the country. All that is well and good but he has to know that considering the current state of affairs in Wisconsin some left-wing reporter was going to run wild with this. can you imagine my surprise when I turned on the news and low and behold there it was . now first who is this guy on MSNBC. He comes on at 5:00 cst. I didn't catch his name but I heard someone on his show refer to him as young turk. Whatever his name is the question I have is was he born a complete moron or did it take a while to grow into it. According to him within a few days all the republican governors in the United States will be running around beating everybody with a baseball bat. What if I don't like baseball, what if football is my sport? What are they going to do then? Now I sound like the moron.
Here's a shock now it's taxes that are causing all our problems. I have an idea, one side says the taxes on the wealthy are to low. The other side says if you raise their taxes it will make the unemployment rate go up. Here's a thought, and I would love to here some other opinions on this,The unemployment rate ia a little above 9%. The top marginal tax rate is 35% and the dem's want to raise it to the pre Bush taxcut rate which is 39%. Why can't we tie them together. What I mean is raise the rate to 39% then for every percent the unemployment rate comes down the top tax rate comes down.We can cap it at 4 % so if the unemployment rate comes down 4% the tax rate comes down 4 % which would put it right back where it is now. That would give buisnes a reason to start hiring again and by lowering the unemployment rate the number of workers entering the work force would make up the tax revenue. I don't know maybe I'm nuts or maybe this makes since. Anyway time for supper, made spaghetti have a good night see ya'll later.

Life in the Center

Watching the news, seems like all I do, and Eric Holder, Attorney General, has announced the United States Legal Department will no longer pursue or prosecute any violations on law forbidding same sex marriage. The Law is called the Defence of Marrige Act. This is one subject that I'm a little torn on. I have my own personnelbeliefs about marriage, but my core belief is that I nor any one else has the right to force personnel beliefs on anyone else. Deciding to marry another man is a decision I'll never have to make so what right do I have forcing my beliefs on someone who does face that choice. Besides why shouldn't they be as miserable as the rest of us. Wait till they find out about alimony and lawyers. I do however have a problem with the justice department deciding which laws count and which laws don't. If you don't like the laws go to the polls on voting day and vote for the person that best represents you views. No one and that includes the president has the right to decide they are going to ignore a law just because they don't like it. We have had some very bad laws in our history and if time tells us anything it tells us sooner or later if a law is bad it will be done away with.
Craziness in Wisconsin continues to grow. I've been watching all the different news channels looking for some grownups and so far haven't found any. Seems now the left-wingers are calling up the governor and pretending to be a campaign donor in order to get some dirt on the governor. Playing some of that gotcha politics. Tomorrow we'll probably read about some right-winger has some dirt on the democrats. Just goes to prove my point that if your a left-wing loon or a right-ring nut the news channel will be right there to broadcast your voice. If you happen to be a moderate or independent, someone that believes both sides can set down and work things out like grownups, forget it,you're to boring. Sooner or later we are going to get tired of it (sooner I hope) and form a party that actually listens to the American public and pass legislature that helps the people and not their campaign donors. The nut that called the governor was using the name of a big donor to the governors campaign to get through to him. Does anyone actually believe he would have taken the call from a normal resident of his state. No, not a chance!!! Just goes to show not only does Wisconsin have a lot of cows seems to have a lot of bull to. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about the hard working folk that get up every morning and spend the day just trying to make a life for themselves and their families. I'm talking about the loons and nuts, seems they have just as many as the rest of us.
News reports are saying turmoil in Libya is causing oil prices to go up. Is it me or does it seem like every time somebody sneezes over their gas goes up. In 1983 I was on a ship off the coast of Libya, why because there was turmoil in Libya. 28 years later SURPRISE there's turmoil in Libya. I can guarantee 20 years from now there will be turmoil in Libya. There has been turmoil in the Middle East since Abraham slept with a woman  that was not his wife (see what happens when you mess around) and there will be turmoil in the Middle East when all of us are long gone. Sooner or later we are going to have to figure out how to supply our energy needs with out buying oil from there. We hear every election year " If you vote for me I will enact policies that will remove our dependence on foreign oil". Maybe one day one of them might actually do it but I don't believe any of us will live to see it. Got to go shopping running low on groceries 9to be honest got plenty of groceries just running low on snacks) see you guys later

Life in The Center

Run for the hills everybody!! Been watching whats going on in Wisconsin and according to the news and depending on which channel you happen to be watching the world as we know it is about to end.One channel says that if the unions win then the unions are going to take over the world and everybody alive will be forced to join up. Men, Women, children, dogs and cats, even your goldfish will forced to unionize and believe me, negotiating with a gold fish is damned hard. On the other channel they tell us that if the governor wins then every union in America will be gone and apparently that means there will no more jobs in the United States. We will loose everything we own. Also, now their saying that the same thing is happening in Indiana and that the Democrats in the Indiana State Senate have decided to do the same thing their counterparts in Wisconsin Did. Looks life their all getting on a bus and heading to Illinois. I have an idea. Lets give Illinois to the left-wingers. All the left-wing nuts in America can have their own state. That's right just pack up and move right in. Then we can give Wisconsin to the right-wingers. They can have their own state too. Just move right in. Then the rest of us can get own with our lives and not have to worry about the world coming to and end.
I watch whats going own in Wisconsin and when I flip over and see whats going own in middle east with Kadafi and wonder if we realize how good we have it. They have a complete lunatic ordering the army to shoot and kill their own people. We complain when the price of a stamp goes up a nickel. Is it me or am I not hearing as much complaining about the price of gas as I did when Bush was president. Went to the store today and discovered gas was $3.10 a gallon. Where are all those people I kept seeing on the news 4 years ago telling me why I was paying so much for gas now. Oh yeah the unlike 4 years ago they support the president we have now. Is a little consistency in the news to much to ask for. Well folks time to set back and relax a little. I would like to know one thing, Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? If you know the answer please let me know.

The Sky Must Be Falling

Holy cow,I can hardly believe it . I heared something on the news that made me run outside to see if the sky was falling. I know this is probably wishful thinking but maybe, just maybe some of them are finally getting it. Watching Fox News this morning, no I'm not a right-wing nut I watch all three 24 hour news service although to be honest I usually watch MSNBC to get a good laugh more than anything else. Anyway watching fox this morning and I heard something that made me almost fall out of my chair. Two goofballs were having the normal it's your fault, no It's your fault debate. They debating this years budget and the possibility of a government shutdown. Anyway, they were having the same ole tired the democrats were trying to spend money we don't have and the republicans were trying to cut every thing out and kick grandma out into the streets argument. Right in the middle of this nonsense one of them said More and more people and politicians were leaving the R party and the D party and joining the I (independent) party and if they didn't get their act together sooner or later there would be no republican party or democrat party at all. I'm here to tell you folks things are changing. In the last election when America tossed out the dem's it was not because they were in love with the republicans. it was because they were tired of not having anybody in D.C. listening to what we were saying. When 80% of the Amercian public said they were happy with their health care what did they do work out a program that centered around the 20% who either did not have or was unhappy with their health care no they said screw you people we don't care if your satisfied or not were going to change anyway. When the Amercian public was crying for jobs. When we said over and over do something about the economy they did everything but. So here come the republicans to the rescue. Ha! Not a word out of anyone of them yet about the economy All we here is repeal this and repeal that. You know some of the health care bill makes sense some of it don't. Why they can't set down together and figure out what is good and what is nit is crazy. If you want to know why I'll tell you why.  The only people our politicians are listening to are those 10 percent of the population that is far-left and the 10 percent that is far right. The 80 percent of us left over don't get our voices heard because we don't yell loud enough. One of the things we told the republicans we wanted was for them to get our governments spending in order and what do they do offer up a bill that cuts 60 billion dollars. Folks that is nothing compare to the trillion's of dollars we owe. I mean who's in charge with spending up there my ex wife .Sounds like her on a spending spree. hang on folks it's going to get worse before it gets better but there is hope. Times are changing and soon those of us in and near the middle are going to take back this country. Time for lunch see y'all this evening and please if you have any idea's on comment let me know and we will discuss them.

Life in The Center

Watching the news on TV seems like whatever channel I turn on all I see and hear is Wisconsin. I'm not surprised that which ever channel I get to see left-wing and right-wing morons pointing the proverbial finger at each other. Turned on MSNBC and thought for a minute I had turned on the WWE. I was half expecting Triple H to show up and body slam somebody. The left wants everybody to think republicans are trying to bust up the unions. Maybe they are but I'm having to think very hard to understand why that's such a bad idea. I keep thinking about Pittsburgh and Detroit. both of these cities used to be big union towns.Where are they now. The republicans want us to believe that Wisconsin is broke and this is the only way to fix it. We all know that's a load of crap. Politics as usual. Both sides trying to convince us the sky is falling and they have the only answer. That's hard to swallow considering all I been hearing is how the other side is responsible for this mess. Same ole they did it BS. I have yet to see or hear anybody offer a solution or say, Regardless of whose fault it is what we need to do is sit down and try to figure out how to fix this together. Another case of the way left and the way right having all the exposure and us poor saps in the middle setting around watching. Since this argument is about government workers right to collective bargaining how about instead of trying to get rid of it all together (what the right wants ) why don't they set down discuss the collective bargaining agreement and redo the parts that are causing the problems (what the left doesn't want ).Seems to me if a couple of moderates from each side got together they could figure out a way to allow the workers right to collective bargaining and redo it in a way that gives the republicans the cuts they want.  But of course that would not be good for ratings. The one thing I'm really curious about is why all the state democrats got on a bus and went to Illinois. The last time I checked it's pretty cold in Wisconsin and Illinois this time of the year. If it was me I would have tried to talk or even bribe the bus driver to drive to somewhere like Palm Beach or some nice warm, and sunny beach in Florida.
I'm watching the news and on CNN their reporting a couple has named their baby girl Facebook. OoooooK. I spent a little time in that part of the world and I must admit that her name will be easier to pronounce than anybody I met while I was over there. Sometimes I think parents give no thought to what their kids are going to have to go through as the grow up. Today must be the day to say crazy stuff. I just heard a senator from Wisconsin blame the Bush tax cuts for the problem their having in Wisconsin. What is she thinking. I know -it worked for Obama maybe it will work for me-. Wonder when their going to find a new place to blame all our problems.
I've decided our politicians are experts at two things. Getting elected and getting reelected. I think I finally got it figured out. If I want to run for office all I have to do is convince the public how bad off they are. Then convince them it's the other guys fault. If I can do that then the sky's the limit. If I think about it I never knew how bad off I was until some politician explained it to me. Here I was living day by day enjoying life and wham all of a sudden life is horrible. Why? because some politician told that's why. Still working on getting the web site up and running. I plan to have a forum where us independent, moderate republicans, and moderate democrats have a place to talk and express our views. Time to go watch reruns of NCIS if your have any thoughts please leave note.

Life in THe Center - I'm geting there.

Good Morning everyone. Sorry, I'm running a little late this morning. Been trying to work on this blogging page and since I'm new to all this it's taking me a little while to figure all this stuff out. Trying to figure out what button to click for this and what button to click for that is the hard part. I know that there are places I can go lo learn this stuff but those places are to much like instructions and ya'll know how we men are about instructions. Give us a hammer and some duct tape and we can put anything together. Might not look good but by-god it will be together.  Ok enough of that, lets get on with it.
Found myself wondering why we have term limits for the president but not for congress? Did a little research and discovered that in 1947 President Truman formed a committee, and we all know the way to get absolutely nothing done in DC is to form a committee, anyway this committee was headed by none other that that famous dress wearing crime fighter J. Edgar Hoover. Hoover's committee decided that the office of President should be limited to two terms, couldn't find out why but in 1951 congress voted and now we have the 22nd amendment which limits the president to 2 four terms. I got to thinking maybe we need to change the 22nd amendment. Our politicians seem to want to change all the rest of the constitution why not throw this one in with the rest. on a side bar I also discovered that Harry Reid, Barney Franks and several other of our esteemed politicians have tried. Unsuccessfully I might add. What if our major corporations ran their companies like this. Let's see I own a major company or small company for that matter, I've hired someone to run my company with the understanding that every 4 years were going to sit down and evaluate his or her performance. So 4 years go by and everything is going great. The company's growing, employees are happy and everyone is making money. So I tell this person who was hired to run my company their doing a great job so were going to give them another 4 years. Another 4 years goes by time to evaluate again. Take a look and company's still doing great. People are working, making money company's growing and everybody's happy. The problem is when I bought this company the previous owners have made this rule that says whoever has been hired to run this company has to go after 8 years. Kinda stupid huh. Good thing companies don't run like this isn't it.  The great thing is we stop and take a look every 4 years so if the job is not getting done we can fire the person and hire someone else. I mean that's how the rest of the government runs, I used to think term limits were a good thing. But why fire someone if their doing a good job. I could be completely off base here on not . Leave comments and let me know what you thing.
A lot of people believe our government is broke. I don't believe it's broke as much as it needs a little tweaking. Were a little outdated. Our government was set up in the late1700's. Things have changed a little since then. I'm not talking about large wholesale changes just a small tweak here and there. I do know that if we have a democrat as president they will love the idea of changing the term limit law and the republicans will hate it and when we have a republican president they will love it and the democrats will hate it. They need to realize it's not us that needs to listen to them but them that needs to listen to us!!! That will do it for now. Remember to let me know what you think. It's time those of us in the middle had our voices heard. talk at you later

Life in The Center

Life in The Center - I keep hearing the reason the media spends so much time on the nuts and loons, for those reading for the first time the nuts are extreme right-wingers and the loons are extreme left-wingers, is that us in the middle folk are boring. Seems hearing what we have to say doesn't bring the ratings. Apparently saying the president is a Moslem born in Kenya (he's a Christian born in Hawaii) or claiming Dick Cheney blew up the towers and then sold weapons to the Taliban is more exciting.(He didn't). That means that those of us that are a little left of center, a little right of center, or in some folks cases right smack in the middle get to set in front of our TV's, radio's and computers and hear and watch crazy people all night. And some of the folk that get interviewed are nuts too. If you listen to the nuts (right) one day I'm going to wake up and some government guy is going to be knocking my door down wanting to take everything I own so they can give it to the poor. Does that mean when they start giving stuff out to the poor I get some of my stuff back or someone else's stuff. Someone else's I hope, kinda tired of my stuff. On the other side if you listen to the loons (left) I'm going to wake up some day and some guy with a confederate flag rapped around his head holding a machine gun with 800 rounds of armour piercing bullets is going to be standing there wanting to take my stuff only they don't say if I'll get anything back or not. Apparently were all screwed. One day  we are all going to wake up and somebody is going to be standing at our doors ready to take everything we own and then kick us out into the street to die. If I could get these guys address or phone number I'd like to get ahold of one of them so I could give them my ex-wife's address. Of course if they took everything out of her house it would still be like taking all my stuff. Well guys and gals it's time to call it a night stay tuned. That's Life in The Center

Life in The Center.

Just got back from walmart, had to go buy my daily allotment of ink for my printer. Is it me or do these things seem to run out of ink mighty fast. I'm guessing that the guy who dezined the printer has a brother in the ink buisness. So I get home turn on the news and what do I see? Could it be some politicion talking about something that makes sense. no! Could it be a reporter asking questions about things that the majority of us are concerned about? Questions like how are we going to get our economy growing again, when are the folks in D.C. going to start spending OUR money in a way that makes sense, things like that. No, the very first thing I hear is some reporter asking so nutcase where was the president born. Who cares!!! He's the president and no matter what anybody believes that's not going to change. The question I have is when are the rest of us (80%) of the voting public going to get tired of this stuff and rise up and say something about it. Any way today is Sunday so I'm going to take it easy and stay away from the serious stuff time for a nap.

I thought I had it.

Is it me or do you have to be 14 years old to figure this blogging and web-site stuff out. Just got back from Barnes and Nobles. I drove over to find a book or two that might help me out. I bought 2 books , Blogging for Dummies and Web-Site Building for Dummies. After reading the first chapter of Blogging for Dummies I need to find a dummy to explain what any of this stuff means. Maybe if I start watching Smarter Than A Fifth Grader I'll be able to understand this stuff. Does any one know if they maybe a Rosetta Stone for computer language. Be a best seller if they did. Anyway enough of my problems lets get to why I'm writing this blog to begin with, and if you didn't know, which everyone except the 2 people who read the first edition yesterday ( nice to have relatives ). If you have a interest in politics and political satire but your not part of the extreme right or left where do you go to express your beliefs and opinions. Where do you go to read about other views that are not extreme? Where are the moderate republicans or moderate democrats, You know the republican that believes in the 2nd amendment but does,'t have a problem with a 7 day wait or making assault weapons or clips that hold 30 rounds illegal and is not afraid to say so. Where is the democrat that believes social security and medicare needs to be updated. The democrat that knows the retirement age needs to be raised and is not afraid to say so. The problem I think is that all the news channels and all the radio channels and all the web sites are geared to the extreme. If you are a left-wing loon or a right-wing nut there are plenty of places to get your voice heard but if you are like the other 80% of the country there is no place to have your voice heard. That is why I started this blog and am in the process of creating a web-site for us folks in the middle. This is the reason I started this. I heard a tv commentator say they do not report on the middle or independents because we are boring. I hope we can change his mine. i also believe a little satire or comedy is required. Nothing wrong with laughing.Which brings me to something I saw on the news last night. Seems Pepsi has made a long skinny can for their diet Pepsi. Apparently if you drink out of a skinny can you will loose more weight than if you drink out of a fat can. Truth be told if I had to drink diet Pepsi I would probably loose a lot of weight, have you ever tasted that stuff. Horrible. But this gets better, seems there's a group of not skinny people  (  i can be politically correct when I need to ) that are upset. According to them this new can makes non-skinny people look bad and they say that's just not right. Like I said before I can be politically correct when I need to be and right now I don't need to be. I happen to fall in the non-skinny category and this can doesn't bother me at all. I mean if your so damned fat and insecure that a can  I'll say that again a CAN makes you fill bad maybe you should lay off the macaroons a little. i figured the one's complaining are probably the one's you see in the grocery store with 2 twelve packs of diet Pepsi (in the fat cans ) and 4 bags of cookies. A can for crying out loud. That's enough for today guys and gals from the center have a good and safe night

I think I might be getting it

Is it me or has any other almost 50 person had a hard time figuring this blogging stuff out. I've been at this for 3 days now and I think I'm almost there. As soon as I say that I usually find my self scratching my head talking to myself in some unknown language. Well here goes. I have been searching around the wed looking for a place where us average in the middle, pundits call us independents because they can't talk us in to voting for the candidate they want us to. You know us in the middle maybe a little left, maybe a little right. Apparently you have to be a right wing nut or a left wing loon to get any of our politicians to listen anymore. I was going to name this blog politicians with common sense buy I decided that would be to confusing. I came up with the idea of doing a political Waldo. I was going to put all the members of the senate and the house in a Waldo like picture and tittle it find the honest politician but that would have been to hard and I was having a hard time thinking of a honest politician. On one side there's a bunch of nuts crying about where the president was born. Berthers their called. He was born in Hawaii get over it. I am by the way a right of center independent who usually votes with the republicans. These nuts need to get over it and get on with their lives. Then I turn on the TV and some left wing loon is telling me the republicans have a plan to starve every one who make less than a million dollars a year(maybe I should stock up on jerky) He goes on to tell me I'm going to wake up one day and there is going to be dead bodies laying all over the place. Where do these people come from.watching the news channels at night is like watching cartoons. This nuttiness has even made it's way to late night TV. I was watching a late night show a couple of weeks ago(can't tell you it was the Letterman show) And this guy was ranting and raving about this other guy on TV that eats a lot of food on his show. Man vs. food they call it. Judging by my waistsize I've been winning. Anyway this one guy is really upset about this other guy eating all this food when there are so many people and families going hungry. I wander how he feels about people who live in really big and expensive houses when we have so many homless people in this country. Don't recall him crying about that. Maybe we should look to ourselfs before we start blaming everybody else for our problems. Anyway enough of my preaching, just wanted to start something where us normal ordinary people can have a voice. You know just a little plain common sense. Thanks for reading see you guys later
