Finally back to writing. Had to take a long vacation due to health reasons, but am now healthy again and can resume doing what I enjoy and that is writing. I started writing this blog because it did not seem to matter what political web site I visited, they all seemed to be full of left-wing or right-wing nuts more interested in insulting each other than discussing real issues. Both sides are consumed with hatred toward the other and unwilling to give a inch. Now before I go any farther let me make sure everyone understands the only thing I like less than a far right nut is a far left loon. The folks on the far right do not seem to have a problem with letting everyone know that their a bunch of nuts, but the lefty's try to hide who they are. Take the new word they call themselves "Progressive". Let me tell ya folks, a progressive is what a liberal calls themselves when they are trying to hide the fact that their a liberal. Sneaky these guys are. A far right winger doesn't call themselves anything, they just open their mouths and you immediately know what they are. So what we do is take one issue a day and try to present it in a way that most of us Moderates see it. Today I want to talk a little about the hoopla over Chic-fil-A.
I do not get it. Here is a very successful company that as far as I can tell is run very well. Never had 1 instance of discrimination against a employee or customer than I can find. Treats their employees well, offers health care and sends their employees to college if they have a desire to go. They also make a pretty good chicken sandwich which is why I go there in the first place. The owner makes a statement on a radio interview, he believes in traditional marriage, and the left wing loons go crazy. Apparently at some point in time when the rest of us was not paying attention, which is most the time when it comes to this nonsense, they appointed themselves overlord of all thoughts and words (now you understand why I dislike liberals so much) . Lyndon Johnson, a renowned liberal, once said "I don't need the support from the intelligent people in this country I need the support of the majority."
That's that's the way liberals think. Right-wingers are just the opposite. They don't care what anybody else thinks they want what they want and the heck with anybody else. Sorry, back to the subject. I read in post after post yesterday that this was not about free speech its about all the money chic-fil-a has donated to hate groups. Did a little research about these so called hate groups.
Remember I said liberals have appointed themselves as our thought and speech overlords, well apparently to be labeled a hate group is very easy these days. If you are a christian organization, you are a hate group, if anyone in your organization disagrees with any liberal policy, you are a hate group, if anyone in your organization knows someone that opposes liberal policies you are a hate group. If anyone in your organization in their lifetime has ever voted for or has a family member that voted for a republican you are a hate group. The funny thing is I found out most of the money donated to organizations that liberals have named hate groups was done from2002-2009, with a good amount in 2010. So if this is the thing they really have a problem with way wait until 2012 to cry about it. I will tell you why.
Gay right have been making some much needed advances in this country, personally I could care less who somebody else marries and much of the country seems to share the same thoughts. I believe however the left made a huge miscalculation. I believe they thought that since public sentiment was trending their way they could ride that to shut down a restaurant chain that had a owner that had dared to disagree with their ideas. I believe they should have left well enough along. Telling people gays have the right to get married is one thing. Telling people they are going to agree with it or else we will shut you down is something else altogether. You start threatening our chicken sandwich's will not work.
So if you are gay and you want to get married, by all means have at it, you have just as much right as anybody else. Do not however come crying to us a year from now when you spouse wants a divorce and 50% of everything you own. And for gods sake, LEAVE OUR FOOD ALONE!!!
